We meet up at our kayak center in Grönemad, Grebbestad where we start the tour. No previous experience is required and the tour is guided by an experienced and certified SUP and YOGA instructor. After the introduction and a basic instruction on how to paddle. We launch the paddleboards and head out in to the archipelago where we anchor up in a sheltered bay to start the yoga on the paddelboards. This is a unique and nice experience that puts yoga in a new context. We feel the nature and the motion of the ocean. Closing our eyes will make us hear our surrounding better and making the balance more challenging. Our goal is that you should feel comfortable, safe and most of importantly have fun.
How does a SUP Yoga class work?
During the two hours that the SUP Yoga class is, we start with a short review of equipment and introduction to paddling on the beach. Then we paddle together to a suitable anchorage, which is determined based on weather and mainly wind. At the selected anchorage site, we attach ourselves to ropes, so that we feel safe during the subsequent SUP Yoga class, which takes one hour. After yoga, which ends with relaxation - savasana (shavasana) on our boards, we paddle together back to the mainland. Bring a towel, swimwear or extra change. It is possible to train in ordinary yoga clothes, training clothes and swimwear. Just keep in mind that you can get wet. Let us know if you want a wetsuit, as we have a limited number and sizes.
